Halfway to St. Patty’s Day

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011

We celebrated Halfway to St. Patty’s Day on September 17th! What a great time, staff all decked out in Irish flare, tons of giveaways, the new Guinness Black Lager on hand and of course our favorite Irish duo the Stout Boys were in the house! Be sure to stop in every 17th of the month to celebrate St. Practice Day.

George bringing the house to tears!

165227_10150362325505107_290435450106_16407625_4468078_nCollette'sWhat an amazing year! A few weeks ago when we got word that George Sicard had been airlifted to Albany Med I never in a million years would have imagined we would have had the year we had for Make A Wish, those of us who work behind the scenes did not believe we would even have a benefit this year. But nothing could keep George from this event, not even a little near death experience, weeks of a medically induced coma and a backpack full of meds he carries with him everywhere. George did know his limits and asked to bow out as this years auctioneer. So many people stepped up to the plate and volunteered their services, it was a tough choice, but Steve Britton won out in the end. This was our biggest year to date and thank you so much George for coming and cheering us on, we love you! In one night we raised over $15,000!!!!!!!! Thank you everyone, we are so humbled and blessed!

We love to have fun at the OPG, and often times this entails having fun supporting the community. There are so many things we love about our area in the Adirondacks, but one of the things we love most is we are a close knit group. This can be seen in so many ways. Often times you will catch one of the O’Neill family members at other dining locations, and vice versa, at many wonderful benefits that our community supports, and just having fun with friends.

Always fun at the OPG!
